5. Jason Boulter

   Jason supports staff, both individuals and teams, across the university to enhance their knowledge and to improve their skills as our Organisational Development Manager. Having graduated from LJMU in 1998, Jason stayed on in a temporary role working in student welfare and has remained at LJMU ever since. This year he celebrates 25 years working at the university.

6. David Anson interview – Elder Dempster

   As Second Engineer at Elder Dempster Lines, David was responsible for: the care and maintenance of machinery, the power generation, the pumping system, the refrigeration and other electrical items. Listen to David's interview.

7. Mastering Shipbuilding Management (2025)

   The Mastering Shipbuilding Management (MSM) week provides a globally unique educational experience and is supported by the UK National Shipbuilding Office.

8. Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse

   The Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse theme is investigating advanced technologies and solutions to address current sustainability goals, climate change and reduction of carbon footprint for example anaerobic digestion, biodiesel production from waste streams, water and wastewater purification and resource capture.

9. Violence and unintentional injury

   As a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Violence Prevention, the Public Health Institute works to support effective violence prevention by helping partners understand the impacts of violence, identify risk groups, choose preventative measures and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

10. CPD Public Health: Policy and Practice

    Study the concepts and underpinning theories associated with public health knowledge and practices and examine health inequalities and ways to reduce them
