Help us continue to improve our health and wellbeing provision for students at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool by completing our online mental health survey.
World Mental Health Day is observed annually on 10 October with the main objective of raising awareness of mental health issues and mobilising efforts in support of mental health.
Over 60 universities across the country have signed up to be part of the Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter Framework to support universities across the UK in making mental health a university-wide priority.
We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.
Students in Liverpool are benefitting from improved mental health support, thanks to a partnership between universities and NHS services across the city.

World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.
More than one-third of people with severe mental health problems (SMI) have a co-existing alcohol/drug condition: but the evidence base on which to build effective service models and responses is limited.
