Top 60 UK position for LJMU



LJMU is in the top 60 UK institutions according to the Times Higher World Rankings 2015-16. 
 
The University was scored particularly strongly for its international outlook which considers global research and the number of staff and students from across the world who work or study at LJMU. 
 
LJMU's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nigel Weatherill commented:
 
"We are delighted to be included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings this year. We recognise that we have global responsibilities and embrace opportunities to make a positive impact on the world while still remaining a University very much linked to its local community.
 
“We want to be known for our excellent teaching and supportive student experience and we are on track to achieve our strategic objectives.”
 
LJMU ranked in the band of 501–600 this year out of 800 institutions worldwide and 59th in the UK.
