Duke of York Young Entrepreneur of Year Award 2017 for graduate
Marketing graduate Mark Russell has received a Duke of York Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at a prestigious ceremony, accompanied by LJMU’s Centre for Entrepreneurship team
The Duke of York Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards were launched in 2013, to highlight the role that young entrepreneurs play in creating a buoyant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the North of England. They recognise and reward the achievements of talented student and graduate entrepreneurs.
Mark founded bmicro marketing consultancy ltd bmicro marketing consultancy ltd in 2016 to help micro businesses be self-sufficient with their marketing.
Mark was presented with his award by HRH, Prince Andrew, Duke of York had the opportunity to chat with His Royal Highness face-to-face, who was interested find out more about the work of bmicro.
Head of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Emma Robinson said:
“We were delighted to support Mark with his business idea in 2016, when he successfully pitched for our Bathgate Start-Up Funding. It was evident from the beginning that Mark had the passion and entrepreneurial flair to thrive with bmicro and it’s been a fantastic journey to see his achievements. He now supports our fledgling entrepreneurs with workshops that the Centre organises and is a great ambassador for LJMU’s start-up activities and events and an enthusiastic participant in all of the opportunities that we develop for our students and graduates.”
