Let’s Talk About Race Equality (Debating White Privilege, Micro-Aggressions, Allyship & Active Bystanders)

LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with equality, diversity and inclusion training specialists; Flexible Work Solutions and are pleased to offer LJMU/JMSU Staff, the opportunity to participate in a Let’s Talk About Race Equality Workshop.

The 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, reignited conversations on the subject of race equality, across the globe - The need for positive culture change was at the forefront of those discussions. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to address race equality at LJMU and understand the importance of ally-ship.

This particular workshop will run in the morning (09:30 – 12:30) with the Flexible Work Solutions facilitator and after a 30min lunch break, it will continue with an interactive session led by Phil Carey (Dean - Teaching & Learning Academy), Lila Tamea (President – John Moores Student Union), Dominique Walker (Lecturer in Policing, School of Justice Studies) and Moni Akinsanya (Manager - Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) (13:00 – 15:30).
