LJMU Women Academic Progression Symposium

LJMU’s Women’s Professorial Network in association with the Women Academics Network, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team and Pro VC of Research and Enterprise Professor Keith George, are proud to present the opportunity for all women academics and professional service staff at LJMU, to participate in the University’s first ever virtual Women Academic Progression Symposium.

Wednesday 13 January 2021 | 9:30am – 3pm |   Online/Virtual Event (Registration via Eventbrite)

This event aims to encourage more women to apply for Readership/ Professorship and offers participants the chance to; find out more about each of the four conferment pathways, gain insights and “top-tips” from those that have experienced the process and celebrate those whom have recently achieved their Professorship/Readership status.

The main symposium will take place in the morning and after a 30min lunch break, there will be an opportunity for participants whom have registered to attend the individual/group “pathway surgeries”, to ask questions and hear from Professors and Readers whom have been through the conferment process themselves and will act as “critical friends”.

• 9:30am – 12:30pm | Women Academic Progression Symposium

• 1pm – 3pm  | Pathway Surgeries
