LJMU is offering students access to IT services off campus like never before
Students will have more access to software and platforms available to use from their own devices.
As well as the general access that students have in LJMU libraries, on classroom PCs and around campus, LJMU will also be offering 24/7 off campus access too.
So what does this mean?
The additional IT services include access to over 60 software packages.
Access is completely free and includes Office 365 with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneDrive which can all be downloaded onto students own laptops or desktops.
The Adobe Creative Cloud, great for photo, video and design work is also available.
Students who are studying courses which involve lab work and reports will be able to access remote control PCs in specialist labs in the ArcGIS, Screen School, John Lennon and Cherie Booth buildings, in order to continue working on their studies out of hours and off campus.
To use the software on your own device or to access a LJMU PC remotely visit https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/ithelp or go to 'Prepare Your Device for LJMU' in the My LJMU app.
The QR code in the top right corner of all LJMU PCs also takes you to the instructions to know how to work from home.
