Share your Eurovision 2023 plans

The Eurovision spotlight is set to shine on Liverpool after it was announced the city will host the world-famous competition on behalf of the Ukraine in 2023.

LJMU were proud to back the bid alongside other education institutions, community groups, organisations, residents and visitors alike, something that was noted by the judges as an incredible ‘Team Liverpool’ approach.

Our friends at Culture Liverpool (link opens in new tab), Liverpool City Council’s cultural service, will be working closely with the Eurovision team to deliver the large-scale event next year.

Plans already include working with Ukrainian street artists and fashion designers, creating a Liverpool/Ukraine community education programme and developing plans to host a special culture trail featuring Eurovision and scouse legend Sonia.

We’re keen to understand how our own LJMU community might be planning to mark the event coming to Liverpool, and we can help to co-create and promote your Eurovision related events and initiatives.

Please contact the Corporate Communications team via email press@ljmu.ac.uk with details of your plans. Please tell us the Who? What? Where? & When? of your plans so far.
