Final preparations for new curriculum management system

Final preparations are under way for the launch of LJMU’s brand new curriculum management system.

CourseLoop will replace ModCat and ProdCat and is scheduled to go live on Monday 5 September.

The new system is much slicker and more intuitive and will make managing and developing curriculum information much simpler and less time-consuming.

We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff who have taken part in user training and had demonstration sessions for the new platform. Colleagues have described CourseLoop as “transformative”, saying it will make data management much simpler and allow them to be more proactive in responding to student feedback.

The team delivering the project is currently preparing the migration of data from the old systems to the new one. When the first of the five releases of the system goes live in September, staff will input new data directly into CourseLoop; ModCat and ProdCat are no longer accessible.

Further training and resources will be made available in the coming weeks to staff who will be using the system. You will be contacted in due course.

If you have any questions about the project, please contact Gerard Lyons, the IT Project Manager.
