Free flu jab vouchers for staff

As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are offering vouchers for a free winter flu jab.

The e-voucher will enable you to make an appointment for a vaccination at your nearest participating Boots pharmacy.

Flu is a viral illness that can be spread through coughing, sneezing or by touching contaminated surfaces. It is expected there may be an increase in flu cases this year due to the lack of exposure to the flu virus last winter during the pandemic.

Most flu outbreaks usually happen in late autumn or winter and, while no vaccine is 100% effective, being vaccinated is likely to give you effective protection against the strains of flu virus contained in the vaccination. Following the vaccination, it normally takes between 14 and 21 days to be protected against flu.

To request your free staff e-voucher, please email HR (Liz Cousins) and include your full name and email address, which will be passed on to Boots. You will need to present your e-voucher at the pharmacy when you go for your jab.

The winter flu jab is a good first step in keeping healthy and preventing the spread of flu among your family, friends and colleagues.

Please note: if you are over 50, have certain health conditions, or are pregnant, you may be eligible for a free flu jab through the NHS. If this is the case, please do not request an e-voucher through LJMU, but instead contact your GP.
