Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

From Monday 12th September, ITS will begin publishing all staff and student security card photos into Microsoft’s 365 suite of products.

Therefore, the image on your ID card will be automatically uploaded to the system and appear on all Microsoft platforms including Teams and Outlook.

This means staff and students will be able to easily identify each other within our LJMU community.

Using an alternative image

For those that would like to use an alternative image to the one on their security ID card, you can upload this manually.

ITS has created these useful instructions on how to change your Microsoft profile picture here.

Please note that any image that has already been uploaded manually will not be overwritten.

We recommend uploading an image similar to a passport photo, although smiling is encouraged!

If you wish you can also choose to not display a photograph within the same link.

We’ll also be organising drop-in sessions for staff, later in the year, to get their photograph taken. Dates will be circulated once semester one has begun.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact your line manager, or for technical support contact the IT Helpdesk
