New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

Events for your wellbeing

We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

Launched on World Mental Health Day, the wellbeing event hub brings together student wellbeing, staff wellbeing, JMSU and LJMU Sport events, workshops and activities into one space, to allow you to sign up to them easily, over the coming semester.

From Mindful Journaling to ParkRun with Team LJMU, Menopause Cafes to Self-Work workshops, the LJMU wellbeing calendar of events provides support and sessions to help students and staff look after their own wellbeing.

The launch of the event hub aims to encourage our LJMU community to take every opportunity to prioritise and protect their health including exercising regularly and making choices that promote wellbeing and resilience.

Further Health and Wellbeing support

The hub also highlights where you can get further support for your health and wellbeing, if you are a student or staff member, as well as LJMU’s wellbeing strategy.

World Mental Health Day at LJMU and across Liverpool: 10 October 2023

As part of World Mental Health Day, the launch of the wellbeing event hub is in addition to a free World Mental Health Day event in the Tithebarn Building, from 10am to 2pm. Students and staff are invited to come along and meet various mental health charities and organisations such as James’s Place. RAISE, Chasing the Stigma, The Man Hug Podcast. JMSU and its Mental Health Society will also be running various activities to help wellbeing.

The LJMU community are also invited to take part in free sessions happening across the city, ranging from chocolate mindfulness to yoga, arranged by our friends at the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool.
