Help for students

Find out about all the help and support available around campus and online

From IT support and Student Advice and Wellbeing, to who to call if you need security on campus, we’ve got you covered.

Library Support

You can speak to our friendly team at the help desk receptions in the Avril Robarts and Aldham Robarts Library. The Student Life Building’s digital services help desk also offers face-to-face support and is located on the first floor. From PC and study space bookings to study skills and in-person IT support, the team is more than happy to help with any support you require.

You can also call the Library: 0151 231 3179, email the team: libraryhelp@ljmu.ac.uk or contact them online via 'Ask the Library.’

Security

If you find yourself needing support from our security team, call the number on the back on your ID card: 0151 231 2222, for 24/7 help and support.

The Student Life Building is also open 24/7 with in-person security always available. They can help if you are struggling to access a building, want to report an incident on campus, or require immediate assistance.

In an emergency, you should always dial 999.

IT Support

We’ve all been there. Forgotten your password? Can’t access campus wifi? Struggling to connect to the LJMU server from home? Luckily, it’s super easy to contact our IT support team via the online chat bot on the IT webpages and find helpful ‘how to’ guides to support your IT.

Advice and Wellbeing

You can speak to our friendly Student Advice and Wellbeing team throughout the week by dropping by their desk between 10am-4pm at SLB or contact SAW online for a range of support from money advice, disability support and counseling services.

Report and Support

This year we’ve introduced a new reporting tool for students to report any incidents of harassment or sexual misconduct. There are two ways to report an incident you can report anonymously or report and get support. Find out more about the Report and Support tool.
