Staff Sharepoint migration

As part of an ongoing programme to improve and make our services more accessible to users, IT Services has started the process of migrating all of our on-premise SharePoint and shared drives (JT2) to either Microsoft Teams or SharePoint Online.

Online services such as SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams make it easier for users to access shared data anywhere in the world, at any time and from any device.

As part of this migration we have begun the process of identifying the owners of all current SharePoint and JT2 sites.

Over the next couple of months you may receive an email from IT Services asking you to confirm whether you are the owner of one or more of these sites. Please support us by replying to this email and helping us identify the owners of the sites you use.

It is really important that we receive your replies as any sites where an owner cannot be identified will not be migrated and will eventually be removed.

If you are a SharePoint and JT2 user, please also consider the data stored within the sites you have access to. Deleting any files which are no longer needed or required will help with the migration process.
