Support our application for Athena Swan Silver accreditation

You still have chance to support LJMU’s application for Athena Swan Silver accreditation by sharing your views on working at the university.

The Athena Swan Staff Culture Survey is a key opportunity for you to get involved and make your voice heard about what else we can do as a university to eradicate gender inequality at LJMU.

The survey should only take around 10 minutes to complete and all responses will be completely anonymous* (as well as all questions having a “prefer not to say” option), but you must complete it before the final closing date of midnight on Friday 5 May 2023.

Please direct any queries to our dedicated mailbox or the Athena Swan Project Lead, Roisín Trainor.

Additionally, if you are interested in participating in a staff focus group to discuss any of the survey questions (or other related topics), please email to register your interest, stating if you would prefer to attend online or face to face and you will be sent details of the next opportunity. If you have any specific topics you wish to raise for discussion please also include details.

*No response will be viewed in isolation – only as part of grouped summaries – and any combination of information you share which may risk you being identified as an individual, (e.g. department, sexuality, length of service) will not be made visible, reported on or published.

Where the combination of any data sets results in a group of staff small enough to risk identification, these will instead be grouped into a broader data set to protect individuals and minority groups.
