Graduation at LJMU: the start of something bigger...

As LJMU continues its Bicentenary year, the next in a series of bespoke videos has been released, this time recognising the amazing achievement and celebration that is graduation at LJMU.

The video has been released ahead of the next LJMU graduation ceremonies taking place on Monday 10 to Friday 14 July in Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, where almost 6,000 students will graduate, across 14 ceremonies.

The film has been produced by LJMU’s Corporate Communications Team and Mocha, a Liverpool-based film company founded and run by LJMU alumni. It recognises that although this may be ‘the end of an incredible experience, it is the start of something bigger, with footage highlighting that ‘no one does graduation, quite like Liverpool John Moores University.’

Bicentenary

‘Graduation at LJMU: the start of something bigger is the third in a series of short films developed throughout 2023 to celebrate LJMU’s Bicentenary with more planned for the remainder of the year.

Other celebrations to commemorate 200 years of LJMU have already taken place over the past 6 months, from Chancellor Nisha Katona’s Roscoe Lecture and international academic conferences to campus-wide exhibitions, student-driven projects and alumni homecomings.

LJMU is also curating 200 online profiles, telling the stories of its people from the past, the present and those shaping and changing the future for the better.
