Data management plan training for research applications

Need to create a data management plan for your research application? New training sessions will start this September to help you using DMPonline.

DMPOnline is free to use and is compatible with the requirements of major UK research funders.

Within this tool you can create your data management plan (DMP) using templates for all UKRI funders and more.

Amie Longthorne the new data management specialist within Library Services, will guide you through the steps through a new online training workshop, set to be hosted via Teams on Tuesday 12 September from 10am to 11am. Log on to LibCal to book your place.

Ways that Amie aims to help LJMU researchers

Amie is determined to offer support to anyone at LJMU conducting research by:

  • Promoting best practice in research data management and raising awareness of the support available for researchers
  • Helping users navigate around the LJMU data repository and train users to meet emerging requirements and improve the user experience
  • Assisting with the drafting of data management plans (DMPs) for grant applications.

Anyone looking for help and support with new research data or projects can email Amie.
