New approach to degree apprenticeships

LJMU is developing a new, more efficient process to manage our degree apprenticeship programmes.

We are expanding our team and implementing a new platform that will benefit students, staff and employers.

The new system, Aptem, will host all information relating to degree apprentices and their progress. That information will be accessible to staff on our degree apprenticeship programmes, the approximately 1,500 students on those courses and our affiliated employers.

Aptem is flexible and efficient and will help us improve our students’ experience and outcomes.

We are working closely with colleagues who work on degree apprenticeship programmes to shape the system and ensure it meets our requirements.

Over the coming months, we will be rolling out training for those staff who will use Aptem and will be contacting them directly with regular updates on the progress of the implementation.

We are engaging with employers about the new system and we will provide clear guidance for new and returning students on our degree apprenticeship programmes.

If you work on one of the programmes which will benefit from this new system, look out for more details over the coming months.
