Free winter flu jabs for staff

As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are again offering staff vouchers for a free winter flu jab.

All you need to do is request an e-voucher, make an appointment with your nearest participating Boots pharmacy and present the e-voucher when you go for your vaccination.

Complete the online form to request your voucher.

What is flu?

Flu is a viral illness that can be spread through coughing, sneezing or by touching contaminated surfaces. Most flu outbreaks usually happen in late autumn or winter and, while no vaccine is 100% effective, being vaccinated is likely to give you effective protection against the strains of flu virus contained in the vaccination. Following the vaccination, it normally takes between 14 and 21 days to be protected against flu, so it is advised to book early.

The winter flu jab is a good first step in keeping healthy and preventing the spread of flu among your family, friends and colleagues.

Please note: if you are over 65, have certain health conditions, or are pregnant, you may be eligible for a free flu jab through the NHS. Please check in advance, and if this is the case, do not request an e-voucher through LJMU, but instead contact your GP.
