Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

Join us for our annual development programme for staff who supervise or are otherwise involved in supporting postgraduate researchers.

The Equity in Doctoral Education through Partnership and Innovation (EDEPI) programme, in partnership with AdvanceHE, will be delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

Through engagement with this programme, you will:

  • be enabled to think critically about your role
  • develop skills and agency to promote inclusion
  • receive support to develop greater understanding of race equity, specifically in the context of doctoral education
  • develop the insight and skills to identify and effect changes to behaviours, using practical tools and techniques

Upon successful completion, staff members will also receive the opportunity to enter a funding competition to trial a race equity initiative in their respective school or department.

This workshop is limited to 30 spaces. Slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Register by completing the Microsoft form.

Any LJMU staff with further questions can email the EDEPI inbox.

About EDEPI

The EDEPI Programme is one of 13 Research England and Office for Students funded programmes, created to tackle persistent inequalities that create barriers to access and participation in doctoral education for racially minoritised groups. Delivered across Nottingham Trent, Sheffield Hallam and Liverpool John Moores University, our aim is to dismantle the policies, processes and practices that perpetuate inequality for our researchers.
