The following revised policies are now available in the Policy Centre following approval by the Executive Leadership Team.

Health and Safety Code of Practice SCP17 Manual Handling

This Code of Practice outlines the necessary steps to be taken for the safe management of activities involving handling materials that are heavy, awkwardly shaped, or that require repetitive or team handling.

Health and Safety Code of Practice SCP4 Safety Inspections, Audits and Reporting Hazards

The objective of this Code of Practice is to provide guidance on the procedures to follow and to encourage proactive monitoring of the workplace to promote a healthy, safe and quality environment for all staff, students and other users of university facilities.

Policies can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre and staff can use the search function, using the name of the policy, to access the relevant document.
