New role to lead LiRICS



In line with its Climate Action Plan, LJMU has confirmed additional strategic investment in a new role to lead the Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS).

The university is looking to appoint a Head of LiRICS, at 0.4FTE WAM allocation and with £8,000 emolument. You can find out more in the Head of LiRICS job description.

Indicative schedule for appointment of the Head of LiRICS:

  • Job advertised: Monday 21 October
  • Please submit your application by 10am on 4 November
  • Panel shortlisting 5 November (PVC RKE Prof Keith George, Prof Tony Wall, Prof Jason Kirby, and Prof Cathy Montgomery)
  • Interviews 15 November (PVC RKE Prof Keith George, Prof Tony Wall, and Prof Cathy Montgomery)
  • Appointments start from 1 December (or as soon after as possible)
  • Launch of LiRICS - Friday 13 December 2-4pm, Student Life Building.

Meanwhile, the opportunity to apply for network lead roles has been extended. Expressions of Interest are now due 10am on 18 November, with possible interviews w/c 25 November, involving Prof Tony Wall, Prof Jason Kirby, and the new Head of LiRICS.
