Return of the Professional Services Excellence Awards

We are pleased to announce the return of the Professional Services Excellence Awards for 2024, ensuring that colleagues working in professional services across the university are given an opportunity to be recognised and celebrated for their hard work and dedication.   

The awards were previously included as part of the Professional Services Conference up until 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted the traditional schedule of staff events.  

We have listened to feedback gathered from our recent staff engagement survey and are delighted to be bringing the awards back. 

The return of the Professional Services Excellence Awards for 2024 will allow staff to make nominations across a variety of categories, helping us to formally recognise and celebrate our colleagues who have demonstrated outstanding levels of achievement.  

Award categories 

The categories for the 2024 awards are: 

• Excellence Award for Student Focus  
• Excellence Award for Inclusivity  
• Excellence Award for Community  
• Excellence Award for Courage  
• Technical Excellence Award  
• Administration Excellence Award  
• Estate Management and Campus Services Excellence Award  

Award eligibility and nomination process

Award nominations should be made by completing the nomination form, which can be accessed from the staff webpages, where you will also find further details on the eligibility criteria and nomination process.

Closing date for nominations

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on Monday 13 January 2025.
