Students and staff get into the festive spirit

More than 70 students and staff joined LJMU for a festive winter lunch in the Student Life Building.

An afternoon of festivities

Charities Refugee Connect, The Big Help and The Anthony Walker Foundation also joined in with the festivities ahead of the winter break.

The event organised by LJMU’s Diversity and Inclusion team and John Moores Students’ Union brought together students, staff and members of the community for an afternoon of food and festive cheer.

Attendees enjoyed music, food, hot chocolate and a candy cane gift station, to attach  a meaningful message and give as a festive treat to someone.

Activities over the winter break

As semester one teaching ends on Friday 13 December, many students and staff head away from campus to enjoy Christmas and the winter break.

However, many of our students and staff (particularly members of LJMU’s international community) stay in Liverpool, and the event was one of many this December to make sure students stay connected over the winter break.

‘Christmas at JMSU’ events are also planned over the festive period with Christmas market visits, volunteering opportunities and study sessions planned over the winter break. Find out more and join in with one of the festive events.

Further information about LJMU’s Christmas closure and support over the winter break will also be available on our LJMU staff and student pages.
