Update to IT services: IT disruption expected Saturday 24 August

Disruption to some LJMU platforms

As part of LJMU security upgrades, key platforms including Canvas and Staff Infobase will be unavailable on 24 August.

As part of IT security and university firewall enhancements there will be significant disruption to key areas of the LJMU website and other platforms. 

Disruptions will be kept to a minimum, however the following services may be unavailable between 9am and 5pm, Saturday 24 August: 

• Staff & Students will be unable to log in to Canvas  

• Staff Infobase will be unavailable 

• Internet access from all LJMU buildings will be unavailable 

• Accommodation booking forms and other functionality pages on the LJMU website may be affected 

• My LJMU will be unavailable 

Any disruption to key webpages and platforms is expected to return to normal from 5pm onwards, Saturday 24 August.
