Applications are now open to students to study abroad for either one semester or an academic year.
How to apply to study abroad
Studying abroad is a great way to enhance your career prospects, expand your networks, experience new cultures and have fun while studying.
LJMU has over 80 study abroad partner institutions across the globe including in Europe, North America and Asia. Current LJMU students on their year abroad are studying in Canada, South Korea, the USA and Spain, to name a few destinations.
How to find out if you are eligible to study abroad?
Study abroad options are course specific and available to full-time students:

Current level 4 students - Can apply to study abroad for semester 2 of level 5

Current level 5 - Can apply to study abroad for an additional year of study between level 5 and 6

- See where you can go on the Global Opportunities Portal (MyLJMU)

Do you research and find the right placement for you

Secure academic approval by Friday 31 January
- Once approved complete your application by Sunday 16 February
