Showcasing LJMU's impact in the city region

LJMU is showcasing its impact across the six areas of the Liverpool City Region.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Mark Power and Dr Aileen Jones, PVC for External Engagement and Partnerships, are holding a series of briefings with the leaders and chief executives of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral councils.
The sessions are highlighting the positive impact LJMU is delivering in each area, from business support and innovation to community outreach, widening participation and education partnerships, to work around boosting skills and employability locally.
The briefings have been extremely well received by the local authorities and a range of opportunities are being explored to develop our work and impact further in each of the six areas.
Councils are under enormous pressure and if LJMU can leverage its expertise to support them, that can only be good for growth and prosperity in the Liverpool City Region.
