Stephen is the Managing Director of Ion Property Developments, a specialist regeneration developer, which was formerly known as Neptune Developments.
Stephen started his professional career over 40 years ago, working in a large practice of Chartered Surveyors dealing with agency and development advice. With this grounding he joined the Neptune at its establishment in 1990.
Stephen has led the delivery of a broad range of development projects, working collaboratively with the public sector and other stakeholders. These projects are often complex and transformational in their nature, and include many in the Liverpool City Region; Queen Square, Mann Island, Liverpool Science Park, the Speke Airport redevelopment, and New Brighton.
Stephen has a range of experience outside of his day job, which has included chairing several Housing Association subsidiaries, Board membership of a new design review structure for the North West. Stephen has also had experience in board memberships in cultural organisations and historic building trusts, as well as being a commissioner of the Liverpool Fairness Commission. He currently is a member of the United Utilities Your Voice stakeholder group.
