Commonwealth scholarships are now available for 2024.
The majority of the CSC’s awards are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships provide talented and motivated individuals with the opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills in their given sector, in order to contribute to sustainable development in their home countries. LJMU are pleased to be able to offer eligible applicants a £3,000 tuition fee discount towards each year of their studies. All achievement scholarships are awarded automatically to all who fit the essential criteria as stated below.
Successful candidates must:
- be self-funded,
- meet the conditions stated in their full-time, undergraduate course offer letter,
- not also have funding from other external sources such as government or employer sponsorship,
- and be studying full time at Liverpool John Moores University.
You do not need to apply for this award. If you meet the above criteria, we will send an update of your scholarship status in the unconditional offer letter for your course.

We are excited to introduce a new £500 Early Payment Discount to all self-funded international students starting in September 2025. An email with further information will be sent to all offer holders. Eligible self-funded students who pay their fees by the required deadlines will get a discount which will be deducted from the 1st year of tuition fees.
The early bird discount will be available to all students who pay their deposit by the required deadlines:
- September 2025 undergraduate: 1 August 2025
