Visible Bodies Software
The Faculty now has access to the impressive looking Visible Bodies Anatomy and Physiology software. This software provides an introduction to the structures and functions of the body using 3D layered models, quizzes and video content. The software can be installed on staff and student mobile devices or can be accessed on a PC and Mac simply via the web. Links for either approach are below:
For use onsite using a modern web browser such as Chrome or Firefox (do not use Internet Explorer) on PC or Mac – the page can initially take a minute to load but impressively has the full functionality and resources that the app provides. Athens login required, search for Liverpool John Moores University and then put your normal username and password in on the resulting page.
For use onsite, for initial install, but then once installed can be accessed anywhere
A short promo video on this resource can also be accessed here.
I suspect this resource could be of use to colleagues across a range of programmes, whether simply used to capture and demonstrate small bits of content in sessions or by giving students an opportunity to explore the full package themselves.
This is an early look at the software giving colleagues a chance to evaluate whether it might be useful on their modules for the coming academic year. More details will follow including student guides and off-campus access details.
We have a one year license but if there is sufficient interest/use the license could be extended.
