3. Menopause cafe to mark World Menopause Day

   Join us on Wednesday 18 October as we mark World Menopause Day and host our final staff cafe of the year.

4. Liverpool City Region HDD project trials new digital technologies at Salt and Tar weekender

   Experts at LJMU will analyse data from the trial to improve connectivity for people attending busy events.

5. University welcomes new students

   St George’s Hall will again play host to a special event organised by LJMU to welcome new full-time undergraduates to the University and the city of Liverpool.

6. Gravitational wave science used to search for catastrophic explosion

   Researchers at the Astrophysics Research Institute were among the first to use new gravitational wave science, ahead of the recent announcement by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) that they had made the first direct detection of gravitational waves.

7. LJMU supports law students as host of national speed mooting competition

   School of Law students from LJMU, alongside those attending from other universities, took part in the mooting events, presenting their verbal arguments and putting their knowledge to the test that they’ve learnt during their studies.

10. Women in football celebrated at inaugural LJMU networking event

    On Wednesday 15 June, LJMU celebrated the work of women in football at the inaugural meeting of the Football Exchange Women's Network (FExWN). The event brought together network members, delegates and industry speakers to celebrate their contributions to the sport and to challenge the realms of what is considered possible.
