1. LJMU launches Sponsorship Programme for Ethnically Diverse Staff

   The Diverse Futures: LJMU Sponsorship Programme is designed to pair ethnically diverse staff with senior leaders and managers.

2. LJMU funded bootcamp programme for staff

   We are funding 16 staff places on a new bootcamp programme which will see you complete ’24 in 24’ – that’s 24 sessions in 2024.

3. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.

4. IT upgrades coming your way

   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

   You could receive between £250-£500 from LJMU’s Student Support Fund, to help with your energy bills.

6. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

   Did you know LJMU has a number of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) related Staff Networks and Ally Groups, that LJMU and JMSU staff can join?

8. Future-proofing history

   Liverpool workers’ memories of the Elder Dempster Lines, the UK’s largest shipping group trading between Western Europe and West Africa, have been recorded and captured as part of an online archive created by Liverpool John Moores University.

9. Student sport coach stars in film with refugee football friends

   Sport psychology masters student Ellie Fox has appeared in a short documentary about the inspirational refugee football team based in Toxteth that she has volunteered with for the past three years.

10. LJMU launches University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme

    LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.
