2. Research Unit for Financial Inclusion

   The Research Unit for Financial Inclusion is recognised as a leader in credit union research. We undertake research into issues central to the development of credit union, co-operatives and social enterprise and to the future of low and moderate-income consumer finance.

   The Machine Learning Research Group conducts applied and theoretical research. Our work includes computer-based decision support, sports analytics and computational marketing.

4. The Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS)

   The Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS) brings together and accelerating world-leading research around climate and sustainability.

5. Behavioural Ecology and Physiology Research Group

   The Behavioural Ecology and Physiology Research Group studies the functions, mechanisms and development of behavioural and physiological interactions between organisms environment.

6. MEMARC

   Situated in the Faculty of Technology and Environment, the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) conducts research into mechanical engineering, materials, applied mathematics, as well as dynamics and control areas.

   Within the Nutrition and Health Research Group, we deliver meaningful research which examines the relationships between food, nutrition and health. 9. Centre for Port and Maritime History

   The Centre for the Port and Maritime History focuses on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise. Research examines: urban history, British merchant marine advertising, Liverpool and the British Empire in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
