4. Pre departure advice - Go abroad

   Not all of our students are experienced travellers and the Study Abroad Team are keen to support as best we can. We host a number of compulsory information sessions that students are required to attend before embarking on their experience of lifetime.    Derek Bailey joined Elder Dempster Lines in 1957. In his interview, Derek recalls what it was like living on a ship with a wife and children at home. Derek also speaks about Elder Dempster Lines’ latter years.

7. Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair - 9 February, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.
