   Footballers who frequently head the ball may suffer from an increased risk of neurodegeneration, according to new research.

7. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

8. European Grant to help our understanding of how galaxies form

   Professor Nate Bastian, Head of Research at the Astrophysics Research Institute and Royal Society University Research Fellow, has been awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant.

9. Marine engineering academic wins prestigious research prize

   The Director of the Liverpool Logistics Offshore and Marine Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University - Prof. Jin Wang - has been awarded the prestigious 2018 IMechE Award for Risk Reduction in Mechanical Engineering.
