1. Academics support project to protect sex workers from violence

   LJMU is set to be part of a ground-breaking Merseyside partnership that protects sex workers from violence.

2. LJMU joins Higher Education, Transnational Education (TNE) mission to Vietnam and Cambodia

   During the mission, LJMU were able to showcase their University offerings, meet with the UK Ambassador to Vietnam, Gareth Ward, and hold business to business meetings to ignite discussions surrounding the development of transnational education opportunities.

3. LJMU accelerating partnership talks with FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), Hanoi

   The Head of International Partnerships and International Partnerships Manager held talks in Hanoi with representatives of FPT School of Business & Technology to support the development of LJMU's Transnational education ventures in Vietnam.

4. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.

5. A very special relationship

   A flying visit to North America has helped cement relations between LJMU and Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU).

6. Liverpool School of Art and Design will host its first art-science showcase after being awarded prestigious Leonardo LASER status

   The first LASER session will focus on the theme of faces and identity with presentations on facial skin growth, forensic art and cosmetic surgery.

7. Hate Crime Awareness Week

   Hate Crime Awareness Week is an important time to remind ourselves what constitutes a hate crime and what support is available both on and off campus.

8. Sport Science in action for BBC Sport Relief

   Professor Greg Whyte OBE took time out from supporting Zoe Ball’s Hardest Road Home Challenge for Sport Relief 2018, to talk about how sport and exercise science is playing a key role.

9. LJMU Estates Roadmap to 2020 progresses with 4-6 Rodney Street

   LJMU is currently in the process of mapping around six major capital developments across the city centre, the majority to be completed by 2020.

10. LJMU art students invite the public to share their visions for the future at end of year degree show

    The Liverpool School of Art & Design will be opening its doors to the public to showcase this year’s talented undergraduates. The theme of this year’s show is ‘Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?’
