   On national Young Carers Awareness Day, LJMU announced an official package of specialised support to ensure young carers are able to benefit from the advantages a university education can provide.

   Three LJMU graduates received royal approval from HRH The Duke of York for their business enterprise, PHOM.

6. LJMU's Outdoor Learning Area officially opens

   Trainee teachers and schoolchildren from across the Liverpool City Region are developing new skills and confidence thanks to LJMUs Outdoor Learning Area. The green space in the heart of the city centre has been officially opened this week and is already hugely popular with student teachers and school pupils.

8. Olympic Alumna addresses Sports Scholars

   World, Commonwealth, European and Olympic medallist, Anyika Onuora recently returned to Liverpool John Moores University to talk to sports scholars, sport interns and staff from student sport societies about her experiences as an LJMU Sports Scholar.

9. Knowsley Parent Power group visit LJMU

   The outreach team, in collaboration with Shaping Futures and The Brilliant Club welcomed the Knowsley Parent Power group onto campus to experience Higher Education and university life.

10. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

    In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.
