1. International agents from 18 countries visit LJMU

   LJMU’s International team has hosted an agent conference for 24 individuals from 18 different countries across the globe, to showcase our offering for internationals students.

2. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).

4. New staff facilities now open

   A new staff lounge is now open in Byrom Street as part of a programme of works to enhance facilities in our City Campus.

5. LJMU supports Hong Kong Community with Progression to HE Opportunities

   LJMU’s Outreach Team has continued their work with the Hong Kong community based in Warrington. The team held an event last week to support the community and share access to Higher Educations options, within the region.

6. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

7. Apply for 'Nia': career development programme for ethnically diverse staff

   Applications for the ‘Nia’ development programme 2023 are now open to ethnically diverse staff at LJMU.

8. Apply for a paid discovery internship

   LJMU is offering second and final year students (level 5 and 6) the opportunity to apply for a paid 'Discovery Internship' working with a local organisation in the Liverpool City Region on a real-life project that you can really get stuck into.

    LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.
