1. Making space for women to thrive in astrophysics

   More than 100 schoolgirls heard from LJMU astrophysicists during a special British Science Week event that celebrated the contribution of women in STEM.

2. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

3. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

4. Business experts support 120 new jobs for greener homes firm

   Experts from Liverpool Business School are to guide a local firm's ambitions in the pre-owned kitchens business.

5. Progress on new curriculum management system

   Academic colleagues welcomed the Australian company delivering our new curriculum management system to LJMU for a series of productive in-person sessions.

6. Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair – 10 March, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   Students from any programme or level of study are invited to attend this fair to meet and network with 50+ employers offering internships, placements and graduate roles.

7. Examination Timetable now out

   The main University examinations will take place between 27 April - 7 May 2020.

8. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

   LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.

9. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

10. Staff Car Parking Update

    Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.
