1. Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

   From Monday 12th September, ITS will begin publishing all staff and student security card photos into Microsoft's 365 suite of products.

2. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

3. International Welcome starts this week

   This is the first bespoke welcome programme catered for International New Arrivals.

4. Give out Wellbeing Journals to all your students in your Personal Tutor meetings

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students, and academic staff are being encouraged to hand them out at their first personal tutor meetings with students.

5. Induction Update from PVC Student Experience Professor Phil Vickerman

   As induction week begins, PVC Professor Phil Vickerman is sharing updates from the Transition and Induction Group and asking staff to share feedback for next year.

6. Centre for Educational Research seminar series 2022-23

   Next month, the Centre for Educational Research (CERES) seminar series kicks off with two online events taking place every month from October through to May.

7. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

8. LJMU leading news agenda on gang crime in Liverpool

   School of Justice colleagues Dr Robert Hesketh, an expert on gang crime, and former detectives Richard Carr and Peter Williams, have been inundated with requests for commentary on the unfolding events and have gained coverage internationally.

9. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.
