The Liverpool Centre for Cultural, Social and Political Research (CSPR) has been established to bring together expertise around humanities and social sciences to drive forward the impact of their work.
Researchers from LJMU have met with the President of Nepal, the Right honourable Bidhya Devi Bhandari, to discuss issues relating to education, gender, women's rights and social justice. For the first time astronomers, including Dr Richard Parker, of the Astrophysics Research Institute at LJMU, have caught a multiple-star system as it is created, and their observations are providing new insight into how such systems, and possibly the solar system, are formed. The amazing images taken from a series of telescopes on Earth show clouds of gas which are in the process of developing into stars.
