1. Reminder to all students to be a good neighbour

   Summer is here, and with more time spent outside and catching up with friends, LJMU are reminding all students, living within the community, some simple reminders on how to be a good neighbour.

2. Restrictions on using USBs for students and staff

   From 4 September students will be no longer able to use USB storage devices on LJMU equipment. This is alongside the restrictions already in place for staff.

4. Knitting together different generations

   A special handmade LFC inspired banner was unveiled at the Museum of Liverpool, which has been created by local children and older persons from the areas surrounding Anfield Stadium, as part of an LJMU intergenerational project – the Sustainable Skills Café.

7. Student sport coach stars in film with refugee football friends

   Sport psychology masters student Ellie Fox has appeared in a short documentary about the inspirational refugee football team based in Toxteth that she has volunteered with for the past three years.

   Liverpool John Moores University welcomes delegates of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference 2016.

9. Zia Chaudhry MBE is to join Liverpool John Moores University as the Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship

   As Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship, Zia will lead the University’s social engagement activity, building on LJMU’s long history of community engagement and impact, ensuring that the University maintains strong and innovative partnerships with other community organisations.
