1. LJMU honours Bicentenary fellows

   LJMU has honoured 10 new fellows as part of its Bicentenary celebrations at a memorable event at St George’s Hall.

2. MA Student shortlisted for ‘Tourism Young Person of the Year’

   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

4. Bicentenary year Artist in Residence drawings to be exhibited on campus

   Julia Midgley: Bicentenary Sketchbook - A Window on LJMU's 200th Anniversary Year will go on public display from Monday 18 March for an extended run until Friday 5 April at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

5. First Roscoe Lecture of the Bicentenary year given to hundreds at St George's Hall

   An audience of hundreds gave a rapturous response to the first Roscoe Lecture of LJMU's Bicentenary year, delivered by Professor Andy Newsam

6. Zia Chaudhry MBE is to join Liverpool John Moores University as the Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship

   As Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship, Zia will lead the University’s social engagement activity, building on LJMU’s long history of community engagement and impact, ensuring that the University maintains strong and innovative partnerships with other community organisations.

7. Another successful year for the online summer course “Sustainability and Employability”

   Over 60 students successfully completed the online summer course Sustainability and Employability: Understanding Sustainability Issues and Getting Ready for the Job Market.
