   ‘Breaking Ground’ saw internationally-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind discuss the inspiration behind some of the world’s most iconic buildings, including the reconstruction of the World Trade Center, the Jewish Museum in Berlin and Manchester’s Imperial War Museum.

3. LJMU signs up to the University Mental Health Charter

   Over 60 universities across the country have signed up to be part of the Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter Framework to support universities across the UK in making mental health a university-wide priority.

4. School of Biological & Environmental Sciences accredited with Athena SWAN Bronze Award

   Biological and Environmental Sciences has become the fifth LJMU school to have received the Athena SWAN Bronze Award.

5. Donation boosts care leavers fund

   LJMU’s fund for care leavers has been boosted by £50,000, thanks to one of our honorary fellows and alumni.

    After the worlds most costly cargo ship accident, maritime expert Dr Abdul Khalique mans LJMU's £2.5 million simulator to explain what went wrong on board the Ever Given.
