3. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

4. National Student Survey 2022

   We are launching the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022 to eligible final year students next week.

   An opt-in period is now open for a staff dental plan.

6. Holocaust Remembrance Day

   On Holocaust Memorial Day (27 January) we reflect on some of the past events at LJMU which have shaped our understanding of humanity's worst crimes.

7. LJMU postgraduate Sport Psychology programme first of only three in country to gain BASES accreditation

   The School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at LJMU is one of only three universities to have its MSc Sport Psychology course accredited by professional body, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

8. Staff and students welcome changes to Highway Code that promote active travel

   Staff and students at LJMU have welcomed changes to the Highway Code that restructure the road hierarchy and prioritise walking and cycling.

9. Pandemic exacerbated disadvantages faced by young people with special needs and disabilities

   Education, mental health, and social care downgraded or, in some cases, withdrawn altogether.

10. Laura Bishop at helm as PVC for Science

    Professor Laura Bishop has joined LJMU as the new Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Science.
