  1. Women In Leadership: What Does It Take For Women To Rise To The Top? (Event Invite - 26th Feb 2020)

    After 33 years of service, Julie Lloyd (Executive HR Director at LJMU) retires from the University. Julie is passionate about the progression of women in the workplace and has always advocated for more women in the boardroom - In her talk, Julie will explore the critical issues as to why we are not seeing more women in top positions and offer tips and strategies for overcoming the challenges to womens advancement and career progression.

  2. International Business Management & Strategy Seminar

    The International Business Management and Strategy (IBMS) research group present a seminar on international business at Liverpool Business School.  The purpose of this workshop is to bring together expert practitioners and academics in contemporary areas of international business to discuss historical and current trends in international business. In addition, to examine strategies for international business in the digital era, best practices and how researchers and practitioners can bridge the knowledge gap. The seminar is structured under four key areas of interest  - social media, artificial intelligence, business solutions and emerging markets. 

  3. Open Research Week 2022

    Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

  4. Young people benefit from LJMU residential

    LJMU Outreach has welcomed 25 young people from 12 schools across the North West to its annual Year 10 residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.

  5. First-of-its-kind Jamaican art exhibition opening in Liverpool

    The first exhibition of wholly Jamaican art to be displayed in North-West England will find its home in Liverpool this spring. The exhibition has been curated by Dr Emma Roberts, Associate Dean for Global Engagement for the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at LJMU.

    We have received the sad news that our former Energy and Environment Manager Bob Steventon passed away earlier this week.
