  2. Clodagh McErlean

    Clodagh is the 2022/23 Liverpool John Moores Students’ Union (JMSU) Vice President for Activities and through her ‘Challenge Clodagh’ initiative, is improving access and representation across student sports teams and societies.

  3. Arthur Hyatt (1939-2022)

    As a craft, design and technology student of the then Liverpool Polytechnic in the 1980s, Arthur designed a special mace for use at graduation ceremonies and became the first mace bearer.

  4. Henry Egerton Cotton 1929 - 1993

    The first Chancellor of the university and a well-known figure in Liverpool. He is immortalised in statue form on our City Campus outside of the Henry Cotton Building.

  9. Phil Bakstad

    Phil has worked at LJMU for over 16 years. He’s currently the Student Inclusion Lead within the Student Advice and Wellbeing Team and has recently started a new role as Diversity and Inclusion Associate Dean for Professional Services. Since 2010, Phil has also led on organising and representing LJMU at the annual Liverpool Pride March.
