2. Earth Day 2018

   To celebrate Earth Day we share some of the stories we've covered over the past year on the environment and the projects our staff and students are working on to try to turn things around.

3. Lol Baker

   Lol is a support officer for our School of Art and Design with a lead role in running the Fab Lab, our digital fabrication laboratory that sees students, staff and partners using technology to make almost anything. He is a champion of supporting creative talent in Liverpool and uses his knowledge to nurture our students’ skills and to work with creative partners across the city.

4. Bryan Biggs

   Bryan is the Director of Bluecoat, Liverpool’s contemporary Arts centre, a working home for artists, and a place where audiences can experience art in new ways. As a fine art graduate of the polytechnic, he never imagined he’d one day be running one of Liverpool’s oldest and most well-known galleries.

7. Angela Frier MBE

   Read the oration for Angela Frier MBE on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Frank Sanderson.

8. David Russell

   David is an engineering graduate of LJMU who now works in the research and technology sector. Like many fellow students, David’s journey to university didn’t quite go to plan after he received lower than expected A-level results. But it’s this adversity that set him on a new path through university, and one that he’s grateful for, as he adapted and embraced everything student life has to offer.

9. Alan Humphreys

   Alan is a veteran TV camera operator who has interviewed Liverpool legends and royalty during his illustrious career. Since taking on a role as a senior technician in our screen school, working with those aspiring to carve out a career in journalism, he has inspired countless students along the way.

10. LJMU Climate Change Postgraduate Scholarship 2023

    International students studying a postgraduate degree in Climate Change and Sustainability are eligible to apply for the LJMU Climate Change Scholarship.
