1. Roscoe Lecture Series returns in our bicentenary year

   We are delighted to confirm the return of our ever-popular Roscoe Lecture Series, in this our special bicentenary year. There will be three Roscoe lectures in 2023 in March, May and October.

2. Journalism students join LJMU Chancellor Nisha Katona at Mowgli Dog Show

   Five journalism students covered the Mowgli Dog Show this month, hosted by LJMUs Chancellor Nisha Katona.

3. Empower Programme for students on the Autism spectrum

   The NHS Merseyside Health Sector Career and Engagement Hub is running the Empower programme - a pre-employment transition workshop for second and final year LJMU students on the Autism spectrum.

   Find out all you need to know to register to vote in the General Election on 12 December.

5. Academic Board Elections - Teaching Staff

   Elections for the Academic Board teaching staff will take place from 24th May until 11th June 2019.

6. Churchill Way Flyovers

   Liverpool City Council will shortly begin the process of demolishing the Churchill Way flyovers.

7. People Politics and the Planet in Crisis

   LJMU is hosting an international workshop this spring, focusing on People, Politics and the Planet in Crisis – and there is an opportunity for you to get involved.

8. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are again offering staff vouchers for a free winter flu jab.

9. Disabled children to fulfil their potential through LJMU partnership

   A new interactive online training resource will help schools unlock opportunity and help disabled children reach their full potential. LJMU in collaboration with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have launched the project after statistics for attainment in primary and secondary schools show a significant gap between pupils with no identified special educational needs (SEN) and disabled pupils.

10. Climate Explorers - pioneering project to educate children in environmental issues

    A unique project led by Liverpool John Moores University is set to produce a lasting legacy of climate change education by creating a suite of new multi-media content for children (7-12 years), parents, and educators.
