   A collaboration between astrophysicists and ecologists at Liverpool John Moores University is helping to monitor rare and endangered species and stop poaching.

3. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.

4. Summer building opening times

   LJMU will move to its summer building opening hours from Monday 24 June.

5. Go ahead for new treatment for Black Bone Disease

   A new drug to treat the ultra-rare genetic disease alkaptonuria (AKU) has been given the go-ahead following research in Liverpool.

6. Technician Development - HEaTED relocates to a New Home in 2020

   New partnership between the NTDC and HEaTED. LJMU subscribes to HEaTED and promotes related opportunities and support for our technical staff.
